Receiving the Promise

After 40 days of waiting and preparing, on the Day of Pentecost (a great day of celebration), the long-awaited promise arrived in Jerusalem and filled the entire house where the followers of Jesus were staying. The Holy Spirit of God descended on and dwelled within these followers of Jesus and their lives were never the same. God desires to do great things among those that His Spirit dwells in; we just have to be ready to receive this great promise.
