Ashland is located in Southern Boone County and is one of the fastest growing communities in Missouri, situated half-way between Columbia and Jefferson City. Although experiencing continuing population growth, Ashland exhibits a small-town atmosphere, excellent schools, and friendly people. Ashland Baptist Church centrally located on Broadway Street.

Ashland Baptist Church (ABC) is praying and searching for the man God has chosen for ABC’s Next Generation Pastor. The ideal candidate for the Next Generation (Next Gen) Pastor is a leader with deep conviction, passion, and vision to reach the next generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Next Gen Pastor will play a crucial and dynamic role within our church community. The Next Gen Pastor will work closely alongside our Lead Pastor & volunteer leaders to spearhead efforts to create a spiritually enriching environment for kids, students, and young adults. The Next Gen Pastor will develop and implement strategies/plans for outreach to children, youth, and young adults in their environments outside ABC.

Church Description
Ashland Baptist Church was founded on April 19, 1879, and has a long history of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serving God to grow His Kingdom. We are members of the Heart of Missouri Baptist Association, Missouri Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention. We are actively growing in and desire to continue to grow with our community. We have several ministries that help us to pursue our goals as a body of focusing on our upward relationship with God, our inward relationships within the body of Christ, and our outward relationship with our community and the world around us for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our ABC Kids ministry has flourished in the last couple years and now serves over 30 children during our Wednesday night ministry of TeamKid for children. Over the last several years, IMPACT youth group has watched high schoolers grow in their faith as they are challenged and encouraged to live a life that reflects Christ. We are currently working toward starting a young adult ministry that will reach the various college and career individuals that are currently attending ABC and that are within the church’s vicinity that do not have a church home. We average 170 in attendance on Sunday mornings and our LifeGroups are thriving with more than 80 in attendance any given week. We are a growing church that also desires each person that attends ABC to be known and welcomed.
